agate is a colorless or whitish-gray, translucent chalcedony
with tree-or fern-like markings, the dendrites (Greek - tree-like).
The dendrites are iron or manganese inclusions of brown or black
color. They are formed at very fine fracture surfaces through
crystallization of weathered solutions of neighboring rock.
Because the Indian stones formerly came via the Arabian harbor
of Mocha, these stones are also called Mocha Stones.
